Katie Stratmann serves as Chief Operating Officer at Skipton Law, where she brings over two decades of experience spanning law, banking, and entrepreneurship. With a background that blends legal knowledge and business operations, Katie plays a key role in ensuring the firm runs efficiently while delivering a clear, supportive experience for clients.
Katie began her career in the legal field after earning a four-year American Bar Association-approved degree in Paralegal Studies, with a minor in Marketing and Management. Over the years, she has worked in a variety of legal environments, including insurance defense and litigation, before transitioning into estate planning in 2013. Her professional experience also includes several years in banking and business ownership, including operating a freelance paralegal services company—an endeavor that led to her long-standing professional relationship with Skipton Law’s founder, Skip Reynolds.
At Skipton Law, Katie focuses on bridging the gap between legal complexity and real-world understanding. She is known for her empathetic approach and her ability to translate legal “jargon” into plain English, helping clients feel informed, comfortable, and confident throughout the estate planning process. Her experience on both the legal and business sides of firm operations allows her to anticipate challenges, streamline systems, and support the firm’s long-term growth—all with the client experience in mind.
Working remotely, Katie collaborates closely with the firm’s attorneys and team members to ensure consistency, efficiency, and a high standard of service across the firm.
