While in high school and summers during college, I lived in Kimberling City, Missouri, retirement community on Table Rock Lake in the Ozarks. I met many people with stories about family conflict created by the lack of estate planning. Right after I graduated from law school, my Dad (at age 52) was diagnosed with a brain tumor. He subsequently left his job and went on disability after an emergency operation at Mayo Clinic permanently affected his memory. I understand how devastating it can be to deal not only with the emotional challenges of a family member’s sudden illness, but the financial complications as well. Proper planning can certainly help when life takes an unexpected turn.
Now that my son and three daughters are almost all grown up, I devote my time to giving clients peace of mind. My mission is understanding your particular goals and needs. It takes estate planning to make things simple for your loved ones. Maybe you have young children and you want to choose who will care for them if something happens to you rather than have a court make that decision. Maybe you are older and interested in asset protection or Medicaid planning. I am here to listen. I want to craft the solution that works for you and help you integrate your assets into the plan you choose.
I enjoy giving back to the community. I am currently serving on Board of the Fine Arts Foundation as chair of the 2019 Fine Arts Foundation Jubilee. I serve on the Board of my sorority’s alumnae group and lead their hiking group. I also enjoy skiing and running half marathons.
